When I think about the NFL protest I always hope Trump, at the very least, is sued for defamation of character of the players. He was a huge instigator of twisting what the protest was about and using character traits of the players, like their patriotism, to do it.

It's hard for someone who served in the military to see someone taking a knee or refusing to stand during the national anthem as a protest. My heart fills with pride when the anthem plays and to have someone use it as a backdrop for their protest is disrespectful. I understand the hurt and anger and the need to bring attention to injustices, especially ones that resulted in death to innocent people. But I don't take it that way. That's our anthem and our flag. I dedicated my life, as did many others, to keeping that flag flying. I gave up my time and effort to keep us free. Our forefathers, foremothers, brothers, and sisters sacrificed their lives for this nation. This nation stands for liberty and justice for all, even if we don't always meet those expectations. Taking a knee or refusing to stand is disrespectful, no matter the cause. Find a better way to protest and I'll jump onboard. Otherwise I will tune out. It's not fair to our nation or to the victims to force me to ignore their suffering because someone chose the wrong way to protest.

Uncomfortable Conversations With a Black Man: Kollin Kaepernick knelt during the national anthem because he was upset about an election, not for racial injustice. Kaeps lack of protesting in his career prior to this event, timed with when he protested, combined with the lack of public speeches and involvement in his own movement afterwards, is clear evidence of this. Of course protesting during the national anthem is unpatriotic. Of course it's disloyal to America. If it had nothing to do with the flag or the anthem..... then why are they kneeling during that specific period of time? They're attention seekers, plain and simple.

Acho is a first generation American: he doesn't share the same history of African Americans who've been here for centuries. He also comes from a well-off, two parent household, and went to one of the most elite Private high schools in the US and got a full paid scholarship to a great state University. There's nothing in his background that would suggest that he would understand poor people, whether they're Black, White, Hispanic, or Asian.

I had a real hard time believing Roger here. He didn't sound sincere enough and it borderline "I'm not racist because I have black friends" in motion. Had he come on and said "I screwed up." and owned up to his shortcomings, as we as white people need to do, I would have taken him more seriously. This felt like pandering. I hope it wasn't but it just didn't feel genuine.

I don't understand how Roger's father could have marched with Corretta Scott King, yet somehow Roger didn't "know" what was happening in black communities. Black have been screaming about injustice for decades and white people have CHOSEN not to hear them. Then when things get out of control they wanna ask "what's the problem". Listen to black people 🗣

I am appreciative that Roger had this conversation but white people have had the privilege to act like they do not know whats going in this country for far too long. I hope white people will no longer be silent.

Colin K will not play in the NFL again because he is washed up. He was 1-11 his last season as a starter and he didn't want to re-sign with another team for "washed up QB" money. I wanted him to start again because I enjoyed laughing at him as he lost games. If he was Patrick Mahomes he could urinate on the flag and some team would give him a contract. See how that works?

On almost every one of Emmanuels’ videos there have been comments about the people he is interviewing being inauthentic or just doing it for PR. I think the only way we can achieve equality is not to push others down but to talk, learn, and educate. Lift up the oppressed and the oppressors! Lift up the oppressed by acknowledging their struggles, learn from our mistakes, and taking steps to correct them and be better. Lift up your oppressors by teaching and educating them. Have these conversations with them help them be better. It’s easy to be skeptical about people and the past has made us cautious, but this “cancel culture” mentality is toxic. It’s toxic because is promotes that people can’t change, that they can’t learn, and that they can become better people. That may be true with some but if it were true for everyone then there would be no hope, because everyone has made mistakes.
